Shipping Information

Shipping firearms to Best of the West Arizona is an easy and painless process however there are a few things you should know:

Our shipping address is:

Best of the West Arizona, LLC

1661 N. 94th St.

Mesa, AZ 85207

It is always recommended that you pack your rifle in a hard case as well as in a like-sized cardboard box securely taped on each end. Be sure to pack any voids with appropriate packing materials. Also, be sure nothing is loose inside your rifle case that could move around and potentially scratch or otherwise damage your firearm. Be sure your rifle is unloaded, bolt removed and anything loose is packed in bubble wrap.

If you are sending ammo it will need to be shipped separate as federal law does not allow ammo and firearms to be shipped together.

Federal Firearms License (FFL) may request a copy of our firearm dealer license in which case they can request a copy via emailing us at: bestofthewestarizona@gmail.com.  **Assure your FFL includes customer information and a copy of their FFL inside the rifle case.

**If you send your rifle to us without using an FFL....Be sure to send us the name and address of the FFL you want the rifle returned to.  WE MUST RETURN ALL RIFLES TO AN FFL.  Every FFL has their own policies on transfers.  Be sure to call them and ask about transfers and fees.

Specific shippers, such as US Mail, FedEx, and UPS, have different rules related to firearms and ammunition. Please review their websites for guidelines about shipping firearms and ammunition.

More Info Below...

Federal law requires all modern firearms be shipped to a holder of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL). Any person who is legally allowed to own a firearm is legally allowed to ship it to an FFL holder for any legal purpose (including sale or resale).

A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by carrier to a resident of his or her own state or to a licensee in any state.

A nonlicensee may mail a shotgun or rifle to a resident of his or her own state or to a licensee in any state. Handguns are not mailable. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun. A nonlicensee may not transfer any firearm to a nonlicensed resident of another state.

When in doubt, we suggest arranging for transfer through a licensed dealer. Violation of these laws is a felony, and penalties for violation are severe.

If you do not have a Federal Firearms License:

Any shipper who does not have an FFL is considered to be an unlicensed person. Unlicensed persons must ship modern firearms to a licensed FFL dealer only. If the buyer is not licensed, they will need to make arrangements to have the item shipped to a licensed FFL dealer in their state.

Before you ship a gun, the buyer must fax or mail you a copy of the dealer's signed FFL license. You can only ship the gun to the address on the license. You should take the copy of the signed FFL with you when you take the item to be shipped in case the shipper wants to see it.
