Our rapidly growing business is looking for a new bookkeeper.

This is a remote position. You can work from anywhere!

 

Best of the West Arizona was established in Jan 2019. We just completed our second year in business and we’re growing very quickly.

 

Our initial bookkeeper, my mom, took us on as a “client” to help us get started. She works as a professional freelance bookkeeper and without her we may not have made it to where we are today. However, Mom needs to get back to managing her primary clients and it’s time for us to find her replacement.

 

We are looking for an experienced freelance bookkeeper familiar with small business accounting. Our company is projecting 2021 gross sales in excess of 300K. Estimated work time is 15-20 hours/month. 

 

Duties are fairly standard; AP/AR, reconciling accounts, monthly reporting, maintaining an accurate record of financial transactions, monitoring sales tax liability and making state sales tax payments, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling inventory, communicating with our CPA at tax time, and routinely communicating and working with company leadership on financial matters. We do not have a "Payroll" but a few 1099 sub-contractors. 

 

We’re looking for a friendly, engaging and skilled professional who can partner with us to grow our company. We need help managing our finances as well as identifying areas for improvement and building efficiencies moving forward.

 

The owner is an avid hunter, professional hunting guide and long-range shooting instructor so our “office” can be a little remote at times. Our records are currently managed in QuickBooks so experience with it is a plus. We are considering moving to QB’s Online because of our mobile and remote lifestyle.

 

Education, certification and/or previous bookkeeping experience preferred. Hunting/shooting experience and familiarity with hunting/shooting/firearms nomenclature is preferred but not required.
